Description
As a Packaging Design Engineer at the company, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing packaging for Drone Packaging. Your role will involve creating a consistent design language for product packaging, developing practical and innovative designs, and collaborating with the R&D team to redesign existing packaging and create new designs. You will also be required to generate comprehensive component specifications. Key Responsibilities: - Proficient in Rigid Packaging with experience in development & management. - Identifying, evaluating & implementing new trends & technologies in packaging for continuous improvement. - Strong understanding of packaging processes and equipment. - Conducting packaging trials to validate technical packaging opportunities. - Coordinating with cross-functional teams including R&D, production, procurement, quality, and field operations. - Creating specifications for product shipping box and transportation. - Defining logistics parameters for new packaging materials. - Creating documents, CAD files, specifications, and Bill of Materials using PLM software. - Knowledge of CAD software, preferably CREO, and PLM software PTC Windchill. - Familiarity with packaging manufacturing techniques and materials. - Understanding of packaging testing standards and certifications. - Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders for new product roll-out. - Designing user-friendly, aesthetically appealing, and robust packaging. Qualifications Required: - Post-graduation in Packaging Science & Technology from IIP/SIES/IIT or similar institutes.
