1. Electrical Maintenance Carrying out day to day activities (Daily management) related to equipment maintenance as per standard maintenance practices. Knowledge of safety standards, SOP, positive isolation, ESI related to equipment. Analysis of the Electrical problems/delays using IBA/Historization module Planning and maintaining spare list (critical/normal/consumable) for electrical maint. Shutdown/major shutdown planning. Carrying out DM/spare planning/other maintenance through SAP-PM. Knowledge of various statutory compliances applicable for Electrical equipment. Coordination with other agencies and maintain effective communication with them. capability to study electrical drawings/,Hydrualic drawings/P&ID/Laout/GA drawing etc. Candidate should have knowledge of PLC(S7-1500), WINCC(HMI) and should be able to search items in software logic along with minor modification in the PLC program. Knowledge of various levels of automation and communication/data flow between them. 2. Mechanical Maintenance Relevant Experience- 1. Melt Shop- a. Candidate should have basic knowledge of melt shop process from arc furnace to CCM equipment. b. Candidate should have experience in melt-shop area mechanical activities having familiarities with arc furnace or BOF, Ladle furnace and caster area equipment, Fume treatment plant area. c. Candidate should have good trouble shooting and fault-finding skill in hydraulic/Pneumatic system and mechanical equipment like gearbox & bearings etc. d. Candidate should have awareness of hazards of hot metal handling. 2. Rebar Mill- a. Candidate should have basic knowledge of rebar process from roughing mill to bundling station. b. Candidate should have experience in melt-shop area mechanical activities having familiarities with mill stand equipment, cooling bed, shear and pinch rolls, vertical looper, double twin channel bar receiver and bundling station equipment. c. Candidate should have good trouble shooting and fault-finding skill in hydraulic/Pneumatic system and mechanical equipment like gearbox & bearings etc. d. Candidate should have awareness of hazard of rebar area. e. Candidate should have experience in gearbox, hydraulic cylinder and mill stands equipment refurbishment. 3. Utilities/Water system- a. Candidate should have knowledge of industrial water circuit and drinking water plant, RO system, ZLD, CETP, STP, HVAC, compressed air system, industrial gas system and fire hydrant system. b. Candidate should be awareness of hazard related to industrial gas and compressed air system. c. Candidate should have adequate experience in maintenance of water system, CETP, STP, HVAC, compressor, pipeline repairs. d. Candidate should have adequate experience in hazardous chemical handling used for dosing. 3. Steel Plant Operations Relevant Experience- EAF (Primary Steel Making) e. Candidate should have basic knowledge of melt shop process from Arc furnace to CCM equipment. f. Candidate should have experience in Electric arc furnace operations activities. having familiarities with arc furnace, Ladle furnace and caster area equipment, Fume treatment plant area. g. Check planning of grades. h. Monitor availability, condition of EAF and guide the controller for appropriate blow. i. Monitor availability of ferro alloys in resp. bins. j. Instruct the controller to give setpoints for ferroalloy additions. k. Guide the regulators for slag free tapping and inspect the stream during tapping. l. Instruct the operators for required manual additions during tapping procedure. m. Ensure availability of all required materials for making heats at tapping stages. n. Inspect and ensure the health of all machines/equipment related to tapping preparations. o. Training of subordinates. p. Housekeeping in EAF area. q. Ensure chemistry control as per grade design and temperature as per required in LF for Secondary steel making process. 4. LF (Secondary Steel Making) a. LF operation for steel making at shift level. b. LF activities: Arcing, purging, Sampling as per grade and temperature required. c. Ensure availability of all required consumable at site and charging bins. d. Instruct the operators for required manual additions if required. e. Ensuring that steel as per order is made and sent to caster for sequencing. f. Co-ordination with all agencies to meet the target. g. Shift administration and subordinate training h. Safety of men and equipment and good housekeeping. i. Ensuring the availability of ladles for steelmaking. j. Heat making as per designed chemistry for particular grade and acceptable to continuous casting machine. Continuous casting machine a. Preparation of machine for casting. b. Co-Ordination with Main Control Room and according to action to all stakeholders. c. Ensure availability of all required consumable at shop floor. d. Adherence to SOPs and Work instructions for each grade of casting. e. Receiving, Dispatching of Tundish after every cast end. f. Ensure safe operation of Timming, lancing and mould activities. g. Provide training on specific safe work practices on Safety and Environment before an employee begins work. h. Provide additional training for new work processes which affects health, safety and Environment and when accidents and near misses occur. Role & responsibilities Preferred candidate profile
