Description
A career at HARMAN Automotive offers you the opportunity to be part of a global, multi-disciplinary team dedicated to leveraging the innovative power of technology to transform the future. Fast-track your career with us as we engineer audio systems and integrated technology platforms that enhance the driving experience. Our focus includes advancing in-vehicle infotainment, safety, efficiency, and enjoyment through a combination of ingenuity, in-depth research, and collaboration with design and engineering excellence. As an embedded software engineer within the Car Audio division of Automotive Audio at HARMAN, you will work on developing OEM automotive amplifiers and similar audio processing devices. The role involves being part of a software development team focused on amplifier product development, with most of the software development being deeply embedded and written in C. You will also occasionally create testing or development tools on a PC, and work with a microprocessor architecture based on AUTOSAR. Your responsibilities will include developing CDD drivers for AUTOSAR applications, configuring BSW modules using DaVinci Configurator or similar tools, and analyzing customer and internal requirements to translate them into software designs. Additionally, you will collaborate with offshore development and validation teams, communicate with OEM customers, and identify and resolve product requirements or performance issues in a timely manner. To be successful in this role, you should have at least 6 years of experience in microcontroller-based embedded software development or testing, proficiency in C or other structured programming languages, and experience with AUTOSAR, including developing CDDs and configuring BSW. Experience with vehicle networking protocols, collaborating with offshore development teams, and managing project schedules is also required. Bonus points if you have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, familiarity with audio processing, Python Scripting, AGILE, or ASPICE. You will have the opportunity to work in a flexible environment, with options for full-time remote work globally, employee discounts on HARMAN and Samsung products, extensive training opportunities through HARMAN University, competitive wellness benefits, and more.
