Job Title: Eng II, Test

Job Summary

The Eng II, Test will be a member of the Specialty Monitoring V&V team engaged with design, development, verification and validation of medical devices used in advanced patient monitoring of hemodynamic parameters in a critical care setup, such as ICU, Emergency Rooms etc. The candidate will use his/her knowledge, competencies and skills in verifying that the medical device, comprising of mechanical, electronics and software parts, meets the requirements, various quality standards and are safe for patients and care providers. The successful candidate will possess solid “hands-on” technical abilities, demonstrate excitement and energy for product development, and a passion for their work and the impact it has on meeting the needs of patients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Learn the Quality Management System (QMS) processes and work instructions according to the role/responsibility and apply all of them thoroughly in day-to-day activities.
• Understand the medical devices’ functionality from patient and customer perspective,
• Understand how the medical device connects with other hospital eco-system, such for clinical platform (HIS/EMR) and Service Platform to be able to design & test connectivity features.
• Responsible for correct and thorough documentation of verification methods and test designs.
• Responsible for maintaining the traceability of requirements at various levels [systems/subsystems] to the test cases at appropriate level.
• Based on projects’ schedule, you will run verification tests [manual and automation] and report all issues discovered during the execution.
• Responsible for reporting all the potential issues discovered in a clear, easily understandable and reproducible way.
• You will carefully and thoroughly document the results of all verification activities.
• You will investigate issues/defects as required.
• You will maintain test automation framework and integrate with DevOps pipelines for CT (Continuous Testing)
• You will ensure all devices and equipment are in proper working order and you will help keep the lab organized following the lab procedures.
• Hands on experience in developing automation framework, test infrastructure, web-based dashboard.
• Experience with a variety of types of testing, including regression, performance, stress, unit, integration, and security testing using automation framework.
• Technical expertise in automated UI UX workflow using squish.
• Hands on experience in Robot Framework, Python and Squish technologies.
• Well versed with Bug tracking tool JIRA, JIRA workflow and should be able to create the statistics from database.
• Working experience in DevOps, CI/CD pipeline methodology.
• Participating in design and architectural discussions.
• Ability to mentor junior automation engineer, review the test scripts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering/science or equivalent
• 4+ years of experience in verification and validation testing of software, firmware and system-level for products.
• Good knowledge of testing methodologies and processes, including manual, automated, standards and compliance testing
• Professional with coding skills in Python/C#/Java
• Expertise in Robot Framework, Python, Squish, and shell scripting.
• Good knowledge in creating test automation frameworks, and test execution dashboard.
• Experience in - writing system, subsystem-level and module level verification and validation plans, procedures, Test Execution and Test report generation.
• Understanding of hardware and software product design methodologies and test practices.
• Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills.
• Good team player to achieve team goals and guide new joiners or junior team members.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and leadership skills
• Strong influential and communication skills
• Hands-on experience with Git, HP-ALM tool and Windchill RV&S is an added advantage.
• Deep domain knowledge in design verification and validation of medical devices is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical device development is highly preferred including knowledge of standards such as ISO13845, IEC62304, ISO14971.
