Role Description

This is a full-time role for an Energy Data Scientist based in Gurugram. The Energy Data Scientist will analyze data to optimize sizing of renewable energy projects, develop machine learning models to perform advanced analytics, create dashboards, and generate insights to improve energy efficiency. They will collaborate with the engineering team to ensure data accuracy and create predictive models to forecast energy production and consumption.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in engineering with minimum 5 years of experience in energy industry

• Proficiency in Data Analysis, Data Modeling, and Data Visualization
• Experience with Machine Learning, Predictive Analytics, and AI algorithms
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages
• Understanding of renewable energy systems and energy markets
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment

Critical Attributes for the role:

Prior experience in any Renewable technology (Solar, Wind, Energy storage) data analytics.

Familiarity with the renewable energy markets in APAC region with exposure to energy data analytics or renewable project engineering

Expert in exploratory data analytics, time series manipulation, and statistical approaches to data analysis.

Strong verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Organized, detail-oriented and able to handle priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Bachelors degree in engineering with minimum 5 years of experience in energy industry.

Familiarity with coding in Python and/or R, cloud provider, GCP, AWS, or Azure, Kubernetes, docker, and cloud CI/CD deployments.
