Working independently, you will provide oversight and expert technical guidance on moderate to highly complex engineering designs involving piping system hydraulics and pump system hydraulics. This includes hydraulic modeling and calculations, equipment vendor coordination, development of detailed design drawings and specifications, and construction submittal reviews. Your demonstrated experience should cover detailed mechanical design for water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and conveyance systems. You should be specialized in large pump station design, large diameter pipeline design, pump selections, and developing mechanical specifications. In addition, your responsibilities will include the design implementation of rotating equipment and process treatment equipment. Surge analysis and design experience will be advantageous, along with pipe stress analysis, pipe support design, and familiarity with using CAESAR II. You should have the ability to generate and understand P&ID's and possess knowledge of the principles of energy auditing, as well as experience with energy modeling software.
