As a Service Engineer, your primary responsibility will be the installation, servicing, and maintenance of Heat Treatment Furnaces at customers" sites. You will be required to work on various types of furnaces including Sealed Quench Furnaces, Endo-Gas Generator, Nitriding Furnace, Preheating and Tempering Furnaces, Washers, Loaders, Uniloaders, and potentially Vacuum Furnaces. To qualify for this position, you should hold a B.E. or B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Heat Treatment Furnaces. Additionally, you should have at least 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in the field. You must be willing to travel to different customer sites across India for your service engineer duties. In this role, you will be responsible for various tasks such as preparing MIS reports, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills, showcasing excellent organizational and time management abilities, and displaying proficiency in local languages. You should be capable of leading a team of technicians and workmen with high initiative and self-motivation while being able to work for long hours. If possible, you may also be required to perform additional tasks such as installing specific vacuum furnaces, calibrating vacuum gauges, refurbishing hot zones, conducting system accuracy tests, temperature uniformity tests, and furnace leak-up tests. You may also need to upgrade control systems, maintain various pumps, and handle start-up activities including PLC programming and modifications. Overall, this role demands a candidate who is not only technically competent but also possesses strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
