As a Testing Analyst at Astellas Pharma Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of the company's products. You will be responsible for designing and implementing quality assurance and testing protocols to meet industry and company standards. Your role will involve collaborating with various teams and stakeholders, planning and executing tests, monitoring software development stages, managing defects, and driving continuous improvement in testing practices. In this position, you will actively participate in Agile development processes, working closely with the Product Owner to understand requirements and ensure clear and testable acceptance criteria. You will develop and maintain test strategies and plans aligned with project objectives, create detailed test cases based on user stories, and execute manual and automated tests to support continuous integration and deployment readiness. As a quality gatekeeper, you will monitor deliverables to ensure they meet required standards before deployment, identify and track defects, and collaborate with the development team for timely resolutions. You will also contribute to the enhancement of automated testing practices and tools, as well as participate in retrospective meetings to suggest process improvements. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with experience in testing clinical operations platforms. Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes is essential, as well as hands-on experience in white box and black box testing. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills are key requirements. Certifications such as ISTQB or CSTE are preferred, and familiarity with programming languages and scripting is a plus. Experience in end-to-end testing, including web API testing, is mandatory. Preferred qualifications include experience in the Life Sciences/Pharma industry, cross-browser and device testing, accessibility testing, and test automation tools. An Agile Champion mindset with adherence to DevOps principles and experience with CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery are valuable assets for this role.
