The SOC Analyst I position within the Information Technology department at Berkadia involves playing a crucial role in supporting the company's global security infrastructure. Your key responsibilities will include: - Monitoring and correlating data to identify events of interest using various tools such as system event logs, SIEM, IPS/IDS logs, network traffic, and anti-virus software. - Responding to security incidents and conducting investigations within defined service level targets. - Demonstrating expertise in security areas like SIEM, IDS, and APT, and driving containment strategies during data loss incidents. - Tackling advanced cyber threats such as botnets and advanced persistent threats (APTs). - Conducting basic forensic activities and performing root cause analysis for incidents. - Providing tuning recommendations based on threat information reviews and findings during investigations. - Staying updated on current security threats and vulnerabilities to relevant information systems. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. - 3 to 7 years of experience in supporting complex global environments. - Accredited Certification in Incident Handling (CEH, GCIH, ECIH). - Hands-on experience in investigation and log analysis. - Familiarity with IT security technologies and defensive mechanisms. - Knowledge of emerging security threats, attack vectors, SSL/TLS, encryption methods, and security tools.
