As a Senior Engineer in Hardware at Landis Gyr, a global provider of integrated energy management solutions, you will be responsible for designing and developing electronic hardware for Energy Meters according to end customer requirements while ensuring compliance with relevant standards. Your role will involve identifying architectural design blocks, implementing electronic circuits, coordinating with various teams, and ensuring project schedule compliance. It is crucial to coordinate with procurement, vendors, manufacturing, EMS vendors, and other teams to ensure the smooth execution of pilot production runs and development of electronic jigs and fixtures. You will work closely with the Mechanical design team to ensure the product design meets ergonomic, aesthetic, safety, and DFM requirements. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Validation team and Firmware team to resolve any identified issues or defects in electronic hardware and embedded firmware. Your involvement in the complete project life-cycle activities, including requirement gathering, design reviews, unit testing, and validation, will be essential. Moreover, you will impart training related to product design and technical know-how, ensuring the PCB design meets all relevant requirements. To excel in this role, you should possess a relevant tertiary qualification such as B.E, B.Tech, M.E, M.Tech, or MCA, along with exposure to ISO and CMMI Process quality standards and electronic product manufacturing processes.
