As a Senior Database Developer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a robust and scalable database infrastructure for our new Media Asset Management (MAM) product. Your expertise in modern database systems, architecture design, and optimization strategies will be crucial in supporting on-premises AI and Generative AI applications. Collaborating closely with the Solutions Architect, development team, and product stakeholders, you will build a highly performant, secure, and efficient database solution capable of handling transcripts, vector embeddings, and semantic search. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing scalable database architectures, defining database schemas and indexing strategies, and selecting appropriate database technologies such as PostgreSQL, Redis, document databases, and in-memory databases. You will develop database solutions to support AI features, natural language semantic search capabilities, and ensure seamless application integration. Additionally, you will focus on high availability, disaster recovery, data backup strategies, database security policies, and compliance requirements. To qualify for this role, you must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with 5+ years of experience as a Senior Database Developer or Architect. Your extensive experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and other modern database systems, as well as your proficiency in designing database architectures for cloud-based applications, will be essential. Strong skills in data modeling, schema design, indexing, query optimization, cloud infrastructure, containerization tools, and database management are required. Preferred qualifications include experience with vector databases, Media Asset Management workflows, certifications in database systems or cloud technologies, and prior experience supporting AI-driven applications. Your ability to work collaboratively in an Agile team environment, coupled with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, will contribute to your success in this role.
