As a Senior Mechanical Designer at Mantra Softech's Smart Home division, you will play a crucial role in developing the next generation of intelligent, secure, and beautifully integrated IoT devices. You will be responsible for owning the mechanical design of various smart home products such as video doorbells, smart locks, switch panels, sensors, and security cameras from concept to production. Your expertise in developing 3D CAD assemblies and production-ready drawings using tools like SolidWorks, Creo, or Fusion 360 will be instrumental in ensuring the success of these products. Collaboration will be key in this role as you will work closely with Industrial Designers, Embedded Engineers, PCB Layout Engineers, and Antenna teams to co-create integrated form factors. Balancing mechanical requirements with cost, material constraints, RF propagation, thermal ventilation, and mass production techniques will be essential to deliver high-quality products. You will also be involved in supporting EVT, DVT, and PVT builds, resolving mechanical bottlenecks during pilot and mass production, and leading mechanical validation and reliability testing. To excel in this role, you should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field along with 4-8 years of hands-on mechanical design experience in consumer electronics or IoT hardware. Mastery of CAD design, tolerance stack-up analysis, GD&T, and mechanical documentation is required, with expert-level proficiency in CAD tools like SolidWorks, Creo, or Fusion 360. Your experience with injection molding, sheet metal, die casting, and tolerance stack-up for mass production will be highly beneficial. In addition, you should have a strong understanding of how mechanical decisions impact RF, antenna, and wireless performance, as well as experience working with global vendors for tooling, fabrication, material qualification, and tolerance optimization. Familiarity with regulatory and safety standards, design validation workflows, and working with CM/ODM vendors is also desired. Your ability to think like a system engineer, make thoughtful trade-offs, collaborate effectively, communicate clearly, and work under ambiguity will set you up for success in this role. If you are looking to make an impact at scale, shape the future of smart homes, work in a design-driven culture, innovate at the edge, and have end-to-end ownership of your work, then this position is for you. Join us in revolutionizing the smart home industry and send your resume and portfolio showcasing your expertise to darvik.yadav@mantratec.com with the subject line "Senior Mechanical Designer - Home Automation.",
