The position available is for a Senior Product Development Engineer / Manager Acoustics, Decorative Products & Modular Systems at Umbergaon / Vapi, Gujarat. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in Furniture Manufacturing, Architectural Interiors, Acoustic Solutions, or Modular Systems. The role entails leading the design, development, and engineering of advanced products across various categories including acoustics, decorative architectural surfaces, office modular systems, and interior infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: - Product Development: Design and develop a range of products such as acoustic panels, laminated wall surfaces, modular office furniture, and interior partitions from concept to manufacturing. - Furniture & Modular Systems Engineering: Design ergonomic office furniture and joinery-based systems using materials like MDF, plywood, laminates, aluminium, and steel. - Manufacturing & Workshop Knowledge: Collaborate with engineering workshops on metal, wood, and composite fabrication, providing guidance for high-efficiency production. - Aluminium Fabrication & Fenestration: Prototype aluminium systems for interior applications like doors, windows, frames, and partitions. - Acoustics Design & Testing: Develop products with certified acoustic performance, conduct and interpret acoustic testing, and integrate acoustic materials. - Moulding & CNC Development: Lead mould design, pressing techniques, and intricate geometries for acoustic and decorative panels using CNC routing. - Surface Finishing & Printing: Integrate digital printing, UV coating, screen printing, and embossing for customised finishes. - Installation Systems: Develop fixing systems for acoustic baffles, modular panels, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering, Industrial Design, Furniture Design, or related field. - 10-12 years of experience in furniture manufacturing, product development, joinery, tooling, and CNC-based fabrication. - Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and production-oriented software. - Strong communication, project management, problem-solving skills, and exposure to carpentry workshops, metal fabrication, and interior fit-outs. As a Pre-Press Operator in a packaging company specializing in monocartons and labels, your primary responsibility will be to prepare and finalize print-ready artwork based on customer specifications and printing process requirements. You will utilize software such as Illustrator and CorelDRAW to modify and check layouts, ensuring alignment, trapping, overprinting, and die-line accuracy. Additionally, you will apply pre-press techniques like trapping, imposition, and color separation, while understanding and implementing technical requirements for various printing processes including Hybrid UV, Spot UV, Cold/Hot Foiling, embossing, and lamination. Your role will involve performing pre-flight checks, generating output files for CtP processing, and reviewing customer-provided files to suggest necessary adjustments to meet production and printing standards. It will also be essential to maintain file organization and version control as per internal documentation procedures, troubleshoot any issues related to layout, color, or file format during the pre-press process, and ensure compliance with color theory, CMYK, Pantone color systems, and color separation techniques. To excel in this position, you should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Pre-Press Operator in a packaging company dealing with monocartons and labels. Being detail-oriented with excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills is crucial, along with the ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication skills and effective team coordination abilities will also be beneficial in this role. Financial & Vendor Management: Monitor profit and loss accounts; develop job costing aligned with profit goals. Negotiate with vendors and manage raw material supply. 4. Team Leadership & Compliance: Train team on lean manufacturing and quality control. Ensure compliance with ISO, HSSMS, and HACCP standards. Customer support if any trouble or complaint logged in plant to minimize count with marketing.
