Embedded Software Test Engineer

As an Embedded Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test plans for embedded systems and software on Qualcomm Chipsets with a focus on power and performance optimization. Your role will involve testing embedded devices such as mobile phones and IoT devices, utilizing core technical skills in areas like WLAN, Audio, Video, Graphics, or Camera. You will identify, document, and track defects found during testing, collaborating closely with hardware and software development teams to ensure system requirements are met. In this position, you will perform root cause analysis of defects and provide feedback to the development team, as well as automate test cases using relevant tools and frameworks to enhance efficiency. Participation in code reviews and contribution to testing process improvements will also be part of your responsibilities. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field, along with 3-8 years of experience in embedded Power and Performance testing or similar roles. Your expertise should include a strong understanding of embedded systems architecture, microcontrollers, and Linux Kernel, as well as hands-on experience with Android ADB commands, log analysis, and debugging. Proficiency in test automation tools, scripting languages such as Python, debugging tools and techniques, and version control systems like Git and SVN are essential. Additionally, you should have a good grasp of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies, possessing strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills are crucial for successful collaboration within the team.
