Embedded Linux Engineer

As a Linux Developer at HARMAN Automotive in Gurgaon, India, your role involves working on middleware and application development on Linux NAD module development, along with some kernel integration tasks. Your responsibilities will include: - Proven experience in Linux kernel development, including device driver design and customization. - Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming languages with a deep understanding of memory management and embedded system concepts. - Proficiency in real-time multi-threaded software design and development, system programming using IPC, synchronization primitives. - Hands-on knowledge of Linux kernel areas such as Power Management, Network, BSP (ARM). - Strong fundamentals in Embedded product development, preferably in the Automotive or Mobile devices sector. - Expertise in embedded system programming with experience in Linux. - Hands-on experience in multi-threaded programming. - Experience in debugging and root causing embedded system issues like kernel random crash. - Exposure to board bring-up, boot loaders, device driver porting. - Exposure to serial protocols, storage devices, network protocols. To be successful in this role, you need: - Exposure to RTOS (Real-time operating systems). - Understanding of automotive protocols like CAN, J1939, SPI, etc. - Work experience with Agile methodology. To be eligible for this position, you should have: - A Bachelors Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science. - 2-8 years of experience in embedded Linux development. - Self-motivation, result-driven mindset, and passion for the work. - Willingness to work in an office located in Gurgaon, India.
