Role - SAP Embedded Analytics Associate Managing Consultant Summary The SAP Technical Embedded Analytics Associate Managing Consultant is responsible for leading and managing the design, development, and implementation of SAP Embedded Analytics solutions. This role involves overseeing projects, managing teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet client needs. The consultant is responsible for providing strategic insights and driving continuous improvement in SAP Embedded Analytics processes and systems. Collaborate with clients to gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Design and develop complex CDS views for advanced data modelling and analytics within the SAP ecosystem. Implement data models that meet business requirements, ensuring high performance and scalability in large-scale enterprise environments. Utilize annotations and associations to enhance CDS views, enabling efficient querying and reporting. Integrate CDS views with SAP BW/4HANA, SAP S/4HANA, and other SAP modules, ensuring seamless data flow and consistency across the enterprise. Develop and optimize OData services for consumption by SAP Fiori applications and other reporting tools. Work closely with SAP functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions using SAP CDS. Conduct performance analysis and optimization of CDS views to minimize data retrieval times and enhance user experience. Implement best practices in SQL scripting, indexing, and data partitioning to improve the efficiency of SAP HANA-based models. Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues in CDS views and associated analytics applications. Ensure data integrity and quality by implementing robust data validation, cleansing, and transformation processes within CDS views. Develop and enforce data governance policies, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. Collaborate with data architects and governance teams to maintain accurate data lineage and metadata. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, guiding them in the development of CDS views and SAP analytics solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including SAP BASIS, functional consultants, and business analysts to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables. Stay current with SAP advancements, continuously improving the technical capabilities of the team by integrating new features and best practices. Develop comprehensive documentation for CDS views, including data models, dependencies, and performance tuning techniques. Establish and maintain coding standards, ensuring that all developments are aligned with SAP best practices and organizational guidelines. Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality deliverables. Manage delivery of services against agreed SLAs as well as manage escalations both internal and externally. In-depth knowledge and understanding of SAP Embedded Analytics. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior consultants and team members. Conduct requirement gathering sessions and provide design thinking approach. Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and provide tailored solutions. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring satisfaction and trust. Manage and mentor a team of consultants, ensuring high-quality delivery and skill development. Facilitate knowledge sharing and promote the adoption of new tools and methodologies within the team. Well experience in handling P1 and P2 situations. Bachelor’s Degree IT or equivalent 8 to 10 years of experience in one or more SAP modules. At least four full life cycle SAP Embedded Analytics implementation. Ability to use Service Marketplace to create tickets, research notes, review release notes and solution roadmaps as well as provide guidance to customers on release strategy. Exposure to other SAP modules and integration points. Strong understanding of SAP S4/HANA Embedded Analytics. Knowledge of SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and other SAP modules. Proficiency in developing CDS views, AMDP with deep knowledge of SQL scripting and SAP HANA modelling. Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Fiori, and OData services. Strong understanding of SAP HANA architecture, performance tuning, and data management techniques. Familiarity with ABAP programming and SAP HANA SQL Script Flexible to work in shifts based on the project requirement. Implement, configure, and optimize SAP MM (Materials Management) functionalities to improve procurement, inventory management, and sourcing processes within manufacturing setups. Analyze business processes specific to Indian manufacturing sectors to tailor SAP MM solutions effectively, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Lead or support full project lifecycles , including requirements gathering, system design, configuration, testing, user training, and post-implementation support. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as procurement, logistics, production planning, finance, and quality management to ensure seamless SAP MM integration with other SAP modules like SD, PP, FI/CO, and QM. Drive process improvements and standardization in procurement and inventory management aligned with best practices and compliance relevant to Indian manufacturing environments. Handle data migration and interface management between SAP ECC or S/4HANA and third-party systems or modules. Conduct workshops and trainings to empower end users and stakeholders, ensuring effective adoption of SAP MM functionalities. Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for SAP MM-related issues and suggest functional enhancements. Document configuration, processes, and changes for audit and knowledge management purposes. Required Qualifications & Experience Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related fields. Strong background in SAP MM implementation, configuration, and support with at least 510 years relevant experience, preferably on manufacturing industries in India. Consulting experience, capable of advising clients on best practices without excessive customization. Strong understanding of procurement, inventory management, materials planning, and accounts payable processes in manufacturing. Good knowledge of SAP integration points with SD, PP, FI/CO, and QM modules. Experience with data migration tools and understanding of SAP Activate methodology is beneficial. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills suited for client-facing and cross-team collaboration. SAP MM certification and experience with SAP Fiori apps are advantageous. Preferred Additional Skills Exposure to project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall). Hands-on knowledge of EDI, SAP workflows, and embedded analytics related to MM. Experience with large Indian manufacturing companies such as those in automotive, chemicals, and fertilizers sectors is highly valuable.
