As a Linux Support Specialist based in Hyderabad, you will be responsible for providing ongoing support for various flavors of Linux in a production environment for different types of applications and use cases. Your duties will include configuring and managing various Linux services such as Web, DNS, and Email. You should possess the ability to quickly learn new technologies through Internet research and administrative guides. Additionally, you will be involved in assisting in the design and development of open-source products and solutions. Building and maintaining strong working relationships with key interconnect partners and customers will be a crucial aspect of your role. You will also be required to provide 24/7 support, which may involve traveling to customer locations when necessary. However, ad-hoc calls are minimal, with typically at most one call per month. Most calls are planned downtime or maintenance calls. A strong working knowledge in Red Hat or CentOS flavors is preferred for this position. The ideal candidate should be ready to join immediately and hold a degree, with a science background being an added advantage.
