1. POSITIONS VACANT: Consultant- Python Developer (Statistical Analysis & Data Engineering), International Not-for-Profit Organization, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. 2. ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUND: Our client is a respected international not-for-profit, that works in public health, to improve the health of disadvantaged communities, across the globe. 3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the Country Lead LADS, the Consultant- Python Developer (Statistical Analysis & Data Engineering) will be based in Lucknow under multiple projects. The Consultant will optimize data pipelines for efficient data processing and conduct advanced statistical analysis with AI/ML skills. S/he will be primarily responsible for supporting various data engineering, data analysis, dashboarding, and modelling across the project. Key Job Responsibilities: (1) Build and optimize data pipelines for efficient data extraction, transforming/processing, and storage from various data sources; (2) Perform data cleaning, preprocessing, data quality checks, and feature engineering to prepare datasets for modeling; (3) Evaluate and select appropriate machine learning algorithms and techniques for specific tasks; (4) Conduct statistical analysis on large datasets to derive actionable insights and drive decision-making. Proficiency in statistical analysis concepts such as probability distributions, hypothesis testing, regression analysis, etc. is required; (5) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements for analysis and translate them into technical solutions primarily dashboards and interactive analytical interfaces; (6) Expertise and significant experience in Designing, developing, and implementing PowerBI / Tableau / Looker Studio data dashboards and data models; (7) Familiarity with data structuring required for AI/ML models to solve complex business problems; (8) Monitor model performance and conduct regular maintenance to ensure optimal functionality; (9) Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies and contribute to innovation within the organization. 4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES: Qualifications and Experience (1) Bachelors or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field; (2) Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in handling large data, analysis, and modelling; (3) Experience in working in not-for-profit development sector in India is an added advantage; (4) Experience in developing and deploying AI/ML models in production environments is desirable; (5) Expertise with data engineering concepts, including ETL processes, data warehousing, and data lakes; (6) Familiarity with ETL frameworks like Apache Spark with PySpark; (7) Familiarity as a Python Developer with a focus on AI/ML modeling and data engineering; (8) Knowledge of common machine learning algorithms and proficiency in implementing them using Python libraries like Scikit-learn. Understanding how to evaluate model performance using statistical metrics such as accuracy, precision, and recall is also required. Skills and Competencies: (1) Strong proficiency in Python programming and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Pandas, Dask, NumPy, etc; (2) Skilled in data visualization techniques using Python libraries such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Plotly; (3) Demonstrate the ability to apply statistical analysis concepts using Python libraries like NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, etc to analyze datasets and extract meaningful insights; (4) Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical methods, and data structures; (5) Proficiency in developing dashboards using commonly available platforms like PowerBI and Looker Studio; (6) Development capability in PowerApps and/or Firebase is a plus; (7) Proficiency in SQL and relational database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL); (8) Knowledge of cloud environments and usage of tools AWS, Azure, etc.; (9) Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team environment; (10) Strong communication and interpersonal skills can explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders; (11) Willing to travel to program sites in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh and excited to get on the ground. 5. CONSULTANCY FEE: The consultancy fee budgeted for the assignment is in the range of INR 60,000 to 1,50,000 per month. 6. LOCATION: Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh 7. NATURE OF CONTRACT : The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Consultant on the rolls of SAMS , a third-party payrolling agency, for a full-time consultancy engagement initially offered for a period of three to eight months. The contract is extendable based on performance and project requirements. It is explicitly clarified that this consultancy engagement does not constitute a promise or guarantee of future employment, with SAMS , or our client, or any other organization associated with the project. 8.
