Job Purpose: To design, develop, test, and improve mechanical components, prototypes, and products, ensuring innovation, quality, and cost-effectiveness as per company requirements. Key Responsibilities: 1. Product Development Develop new mechanical products, systems, and components. Prepare design concepts, 3D models, and detailed engineering drawings. Evaluate materials, technologies, and manufacturing methods for new products. 2. Design & Engineering Use CAD tools (SolidWorks / AutoCAD )for design and drafting. Perform engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, and design validation. Improve existing designs for better performance, durability, and cost reduction. 3. Prototype & Testing Build and test prototypes for performance and reliability. Conduct testing such as load, stress, thermal, vibration, and life-cycle tests. Document test results and propose modifications based on findings. 4. Research Activities Study new technologies, materials, market trends, and competitor products. Identify opportunities for innovation and product improvement. 5. Cross-Functional Coordination Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchase, and Marketing teams. Provide technical support during manufacturing, trials, and troubleshooting. 6. Documentation Prepare project reports, BOMs, drawings, specifications, and technical manuals. Maintain R&D records and ensure compliance with standards. 7. Continuous Improvement Participate in value engineering, cost optimisation, and performance enhancement projects. Support patent documentation where applicable. Role & responsibilities Preferred candidate profile Required Skills & Qualifications: DME,B.E / B.Tech Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent). 5–10 years experience in mechanical R&D / product development Strong knowledge of mechanical design,Textile Machine manufacturing processes, and engineering fundamentals. Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.). Knowledge of GD&T, FEA basics, materials, and testing procedures. Good analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
Experience in Spares / Machinery Back office Sales - (Handling quotation, AO, following up with customers for Technical documents, payment & other formalities, Interacting with factory teams to meet the various requirements) Preferably from Textile machinery Industry background Preferably nearby our area Good Oral and Written English communication Skills Should have worked in any standard ERP Should be able work on Excel, Power Point etc Role & responsibilities Preferred candidate profile
