Job Title : Technical Assistant for Operating Cluster of Equipment for Life sciences Job Description: Will be responsible for operation and maintenance of common instrumentation facility (CIF) housing PCR machine, Gel Doc, probe sonicator, centrifuges, RT-PCR machine, Microplate readers, nanodrops, UV-VIS spectrophotometer, electroporator and FPLC system and Cell Culture Facility, as well as incubator shakers, ice machine, autoclaves, MilliQ plant, biosafety cabinets housed in MURTI-VB Laboratory. Experience in handling the above-mentioned instruments. Knowledge in troubleshooting the faults of non-functioning instruments and take appropriate steps to get them repaired. Maintain logbooks on user samples, Instruments usage and health of the instrument and accessories. Experience/knowledge in molecular and cellular biology techniques to contribute to the research activities of MURTI labs. Support the faculties in conducting workshops on microbiology, molecular and cellular biology aspects and other scientific events. Willingness to work either in the normal shift (8AM to 5PM , 5 days week) OR willing to work during 3:30 PM to 10:30PM 5 days in a week and on Saturday (8AM to 6PM). Eligible Qualification: First class M.Sc degree from the reputed universities in India with specialization in Molecular Biology /Biochemistry /Food science/Plant sciences/ Life sciences. Experience: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
