Exercise a deep understanding of Apple products and work with cross-functional teams to identify and address related safety requirements and resolve design challenges for new technologies and consumer products. Conduct Safety compliance testing, report writing, and acquire certifications, not limited to CB or related schemes. Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or related field 10+ years of engineering experience in consumer, medical, military, space product design, or reliability engineering experience with a deep knowledge of electronics design, safety, risk and failure analysis. Proficient in evaluating product safety, product safety testing, and compliance to at least two standards from the following list: IEC/EN/UL/CSA 60950, 62368, 62133, 60601 and 60065 Use engineering fundamentals, Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA), and fault trees to analyse electric circuits, schematics, assemblies, and manufacturing processes. Professional fluency in English, and the ability to speak and write effectively in a fast-paced corporate environment. Interpret, evaluate, test, and write reports to product safety standards. Present verbally and in writing complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences, using presentation tools (not limited to Keynote and Powerpoint). Ability to foster and maintain close working partnerships with vendor safety departments, contractors, and third-party agencies to develop and qualify product designs. Ability to embark on domestic and international business travel without restrictions, up to 25 percent of the year.
