Electronic PCB Design Engineer

As an Electronic PCB Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing PCB layouts according to project specifications and requirements. You will create and manage Gerber files for PCB manufacturing and prepare and maintain the Bill of Materials for PCB projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Additionally, you will work with schematic diagrams and translate them into PCB layouts, participate in design reviews, and collaborate closely with other engineers and departments to ensure seamless integration of PCB designs into overall project development. It is also crucial to maintain detailed documentation of design processes, changes, and specifications. Key Responsibilities: - PCB Layout Design: Design and develop PCB layouts according to project specifications and requirements. - Gerber File Generation: Create and manage Gerber files for PCB manufacturing. - BOM Generation: Prepare and maintain the Bill of Materials for PCB projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness. - Schematic Capture: Work with schematic diagrams and translate them into PCB layouts. - Design Reviews: Participate in design reviews to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements. - Collaboration: Work closely with other engineers and departments to ensure seamless integration of PCB designs into overall project development. - Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of design processes, changes, and specifications. Qualification Required: - Educational Background: B.E/B.Tech in Electronics and Communication or related stream. - Experience: 2-4 years of experience in PCB design and layout. - PCB Design Software: Proficiency in using PCB design software (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, OrCAD). - Gerber Generation: Experience in generating and managing Gerber files for PCB manufacturing. - BOM Management: Ability to generate and manage accurate BOMs. - Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in design and documentation. - Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot design issues. - Communication Skills: Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of Industry Standards: Familiarity with industry standards, Embedded Hardware Design, SMPS Design, best practices for PCB design. - Manufacturing Process Understanding: Understanding of the PCB manufacturing process and ability to liaise with manufacturers. - CAD Tools: Experience with additional CAD tools and software used in electronic design such as Altium, Eagle CAD, KiCad.
