As a New Product Launch/Industrial Engineer at HARMAN Automotive, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and maintaining systems in alignment with standards to enhance and sustain business operations throughout the project life cycle. Your primary focus will be on achieving Quality, Quantity, and Delivery objectives efficiently. Your responsibilities will include handling customer RFQs, operations, process and cycle time design, layout and capacity planning, investment planning, process and systems audit, as well as ramp-up and safe launch management. You will lead and coordinate equipment transfer, select new equipment, manage installation, and oversee commissioning to ensure readiness for production processes. Additionally, you will be involved in stencil design, aperture modification, process improvement, and product quality enhancement. To be successful in this role, you need to plan production capability and manpower effectively for new projects, drive process performance improvements, utilize Lean Philosophy for waste reduction, and have experience in capacity planning. Your ability to identify, recommend, and implement measures for process enhancement, equipment performance optimization, and product quality improvement will be instrumental in your success. Ideally, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electronic, or Engineering fields and have at least five years of experience in Electronic manufacturing as a Process/Equipment Engineer. Strong communication skills, team-building capabilities, and familiarity with ISO/IATF16949 quality systems are essential. Experience in Auto Tier1 and Automotive Electronics Assembly Manufacturing is advantageous.
