Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of machinery and equipment in the polymer production facility. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and implementing repairs to minimize downtime and ensure safety standards are met. Key Responsibilities: Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular preventive maintenance on all machinery and equipment, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in equipment, and perform necessary repairs to restore functionality. Equipment Installation: Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance schedules, repair logs, and parts inventory. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize production downtime. Team Collaboration: Work closely with production and other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure optimal equipment performance. Training: Provide training and guidance to operators on equipment maintenance and safe operation. JOB DESCRIPTION Maintenance Technician Extrusion Engineering Plastics Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or a related field is preferred. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance roles within the Extrusion Engineering Plastics Industry. Technical Skills: Proficient in mechanical, electrical, and electronic maintenance; knowledge of PLCs basic, hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC systems is advantageous. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities to identify and resolve equipment issues efficiently. Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and document maintenance activities. Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, working at heights, and standing for extended periods. Flexibility: Willingness to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed. Working Conditions: The role requires working in a manufacturing environment, which may involve exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and varying temperatures. Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and ear protection may be required.
