You will be working with KLA, a global leader in diversified electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem. Almost every electronic device worldwide is created using KLA's technologies. From laptops to smartphones, wearable devices to smart cars, KLA plays a vital role in the production process. As a part of KLA, you will be contributing to the creation of systems and solutions for the manufacturing of wafers, integrated circuits, packaging, printed circuit boards, and flat panel displays. In this role, you will be part of KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which focuses on developing metrology and inspection products. Your responsibilities will include designing new electron-beam imaging products for the semiconductor equipment market. You will work on various product subsystems such as light optics, electron optics, imaging, detectors, HV electronics, vacuum systems, wafer transfer systems, detection and classification algorithms, machine control, and UI software. To qualify for this position, you should have a Doctorate or Master's degree in Physics, Engineering Physics, Engineering Design, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Materials and Metallurgical Engineering. Knowledge in instrumentation, signal processing, and optical/electro-optical systems will be advantageous. Experience with Vacuum Systems, Electron Optics, and High Voltage for scanning electron microscopes is a plus. Hands-on experience in machine control and scientific data analysis is highly desired. You should demonstrate proficiency in scripting languages such as MATLAB, Python, or others for scientific data collection and analysis. Additionally, you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to create effective technical presentations. Your role will involve setting up experiments, modeling and analyzing data, and solving complex technical problems. You will also be responsible for devising innovative solutions for complex issues and providing customer support both remotely and on-site. Travel is a significant component of this role, with an expected travel load between 50-75%. You may need to travel to customer sites in Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, and other locations. To ensure you are well-prepared for the role, you will receive necessary training at KLA's offices in Singapore and the US.
