Electrician

The Electrician position requires a candidate with 2-6 years of experience and holding an ITI / Diploma in Electrical Trade. The role specifically involves handling installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems within the Steel / Sponge Iron / Industrial Manufacturing industry, particularly in the SID (Steel / DRI) unit. Your responsibilities will include performing daily electrical maintenance and repairs, operating and maintaining various electrical equipment such as LT/HT panels, motors, transformers, MCCs, and switchgear. You will also be required to conduct wiring, cabling, and electrical connections as needed, along with carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to minimize downtime. Identifying and troubleshooting faults in motors, drives, and control systems, as well as maintaining logbooks, checklists, and equipment service records will be crucial aspects of your role. Compliance with electrical safety standards and company policies is essential. You will also support engineers and shift incharges during shutdowns, overhauls, and testing, as well as assist in emergency breakdown restoration activities. The ideal candidate should possess a strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, hands-on experience with motors, panels, and switchgear, and the ability to read and understand electrical drawings and wiring diagrams. Familiarity with safety protocols in heavy industries, good troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team are important competencies for this role.
