We drive innovation to ensure our cutting-edge solutions are helping to solve the biggest challenges in the semiconductor industry The Impact You ll Make Join Lam as an Electrical Engineer and youll be at the forefront, designing and developing electronic solutions for advanced applications. Your role involves designing and analyzing equipment, conducting experimental tests, evaluating results to create reliable cutting-edge solutions. In this role, you will directly contribute to the design, development and leading the Electrical concepts of ETCH tools. What You ll Do Design and develop complex electrical systems, sub-systems, and/or solutions, applying engineering methods to design. Contributes to research and development efforts by collecting and analyzing data to improve electrical system designs. Develops functional specifications for electrical/ electro-mechanical systems and power distribution components. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering design teams to design and modify custom and OEM system components. Perform hands-on test and validation utilizing lab equipment to characterization of the performance of the electrical/ electro-mechanical systems. Prepare high-quality reports and technical presentations to clearly communicate design intent, analysis, and results to diverse audiences in design reviews. Acts as a resource and mentor for more junior colleagues. Who We re Looking For Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 6+ years of experience; or Master s degree with 4+ years; or equivalent work experience. Proficient in system level understanding of Electro-Mechanical sub-systems (Semi-conductor / Automotive / Aerospace / Process industries/ Medical instrumentation) Expertise in application of power and controls technologies for systems automation. In depth system level understanding of Electrical architecture, system integration, and applications. Selection of Electrical Electronics OEM components and materials for Power distribution, I/O Controllers, Sensors, Cables, PCBs etc. Experience in selection of components, setting up equipment for experimentation / testing in laboratory environment, setting up safe practices. Experience in troubleshooting with problem-solving techniques such as 5-why, 8D, fishbones, etc. Familiar with Safety standards like - UL 508, IEC 60947, SEMI S22, NFPA79 Knowledgeable in CAD tools for circuit design and simulation (e.g., PCAD, ORCAD, ZUKEN, AutoCAD, Spice, ADS, HFSS). Preferred Qualifications Ability to define functional requirements and execute in a dynamic team environment. Familiar with design for serviceability, manufacturability, reliability. Highly proficient at troubleshooting systems with tools like network sniffers, protocol analyzers, and tool logs. Experience with Power Electronics (AC DC Low/Medium Voltage) Circuit Designs for Power and Control applications. Knowledge on low/high voltage electronic circuit design (analog, digital), signal and controls theory, development and associated electrical board design, troubleshooting and validation. Excellent oral and written communication skills including technical presentations.
