Role & responsibilities Description The Civil Site Engineer role is an on-site and office role that involves actively managing ongoing Electrical substation projects, ensuring timely execution and delivery/commissioning of commercial and industrial Electrical substation projects for the firm Develop substation layout drawings including, plan and elevations, yard layouts, grounding, grounding details, raceway, raceway details, control building layouts, cable lists, and material lists on new and existing substations. Prepare equipment specifications, for substation equipment, components, and construction. Prepares cost estimates and schedules for maintenance related projects. Site Supervision: Monitor and supervise all civil activities related to Sub Station installations. Ensure all work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards. Coordinate civil work for equipment installation. Project Coordination: Collaborate with office and Electrical engineer align civil works with services layout. Ensure timely availability of materials, manpower, and tools at site. Quality & Compliance: Conduct regular inspections to maintain quality standards in civil construction. Ensure civil works adhere to project timelines and industry safety norms. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain daily site progress reports, labour deployment logs, and material consumption records. Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with contractors, vendors, consultants, and internal teams for smooth workflow. Attend regular site meetings to update project status and resolve issues. Ability to study Autocad placement drawings and SLDs and map the drawings to on-site implementations Coordinate execution of projects as per the detailed project plan and ability to drive on-site teams to stick to expected timeframes Billing/Paperwork/Material Certifications Create delivery challans as and when materials arrive at the site and get DC/other inward documentation certified as inward materials Share certified documentation with accounts/sales teams in the head office. Coordinate with sales and accounts/admin teams to collate and submit the required documentation at the site for bills and processing Work with client-side teams on certification of bills and ensure smooth processing of bills/tax invoices raised against materials/services delivered Follow up on payments against tax invoices submitted and keep management updated on processing status or delays if any. Preferred candidate profile A Diploma or BE (Civil) graduate with a degree from a reputed university or affiliate. Minimum 1 to 4 years experience in site management of Electrical on civil in substation Feld Technically proficient with the understanding of civil on electrical networks Electrical project design/execution Software skills: AutoCAD, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) mandatory Quantitatively/Number oriented, good communication skills and calm under pressure.
