FIELD BASED JOB IN PAN INDIA Job Summary: The Mobile Bridge Inspection Unit Operator (MBIU) is responsible for operating specialized equipment to inspect and assess the condition of bridges and other infrastructure. This role involves working at height and in various environmental conditions to ensure that all inspections are performed safely, accurately, and efficiently. Key Responsibilities: · Operate the Mobile Bridge Inspection Unit (MBIU) to perform detailed bridge inspections. · Safely maneuver the inspection unit on and around bridges, overpasses, and other elevated structures. · Collaborate with engineering teams to conduct visual, mechanical, and structural assessments of bridge components. · Inspect for signs of wear, corrosion, cracking, or other structural issues that may require attention. · Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. · Ensure all equipment is maintained, calibrated, and in safe working condition. · Comply with all relevant safety regulations and protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). · Maintain accurate records of inspection dates, locations, and any maintenance or repairs needed. · Assist in training and mentoring new operators as needed. · Participate in the planning and preparation of inspection routes and schedules. · Respond to emergency inspections as directed by senior engineers or management. Qualifications: · Graduation/Diploma from Mechanical/Civil Field; equivalent vocational training in heavy equipment operation or related field preferred. · Experience operating specialized equipment (e.g., cranes, boom lifts, or MBIUs) atleast for 1 year. · Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify potential hazards or issues. · Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting and documentation. · Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements: · Ability to work at heights (using harnesses or other safety equipment). · Physical stamina for extended periods of operation.
