Job Title: Electrical Equipment Engineer

Location: Bangalore

Job Summary:

The Electrical Equipment Engineer responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing electrical systems and equipment used in the manufacturing of electronic products. This role ensures that all electrical equipment supports high-volume, high-quality production while meeting safety, reliability, and efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Development

• Design and develop electrical systems and control panels for automated manufacturing equipment.
• Collaborate with product, process,Automation,Fixture, safety, Maintenance engineers to ensure equipment supports manufacturability and scalability.
• Create and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs using CAD tools.
• Selection of essential components such as MCB, RCCB, PLC, HMI, and related devices.
• Development and validation of electrical circuits to meet safety and performance standards.
• Ensuring machine connectivity and compliance with automation requirements for seamless integration.

Installation & Commissioning

• Lead installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment developments and retrofit, reuse, repurpose and upgrades.
• Ensure integration of equipment with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and automation platforms.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for electrical failures.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules and procedures for electrical systems.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and improve yield.

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure all equipment complies with relevant safety standards (e.g., ISO, IPC, ESD).
• Maintain detailed documentation for equipment specifications, modifications, and maintenance history.

Process Optimization

• Analyze equipment performance data to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements.
• Support lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to enhance productivity.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• 35 years of experience in electronics manufacturing or EMS environment.
• Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).
• Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, and industrial automation systems.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with equipment validation and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/7721).
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.
• Strong analytical, presentation and problem-solving skills.
