Electrical Designer/Draftsman

Role Overview: You will be responsible for design tasks which include power cable sizing, lightning protection risk studies, and lighting design using DIALux. You should have proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for programming with VBA to automate calculations. Key Responsibilities: - Perform power cable sizing, lightning protection risk studies, and lighting design using DIALux. - Utilize Microsoft Excel for programming with VBA to automate calculations. - Engage in layout engineering activities and preparation of Substation GA and GFC drawings. - Conceptualize, develop, detail, and prepare drawings considering general operation, maintenance, and material handling arrangements. - Prepare basic, detailed, and GFC single line diagrams. - Create drawings for lighting, cable tray, earthing, lightning, conduiting, and wiring. - Generate power and control cable schedules, tray sizing, and earthing schedules. - Estimate BOQ/BOM for the projects. Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in using BIM software such as REVIT, PDMS, as well as 2D CAD software like AutoCAD and Microstation. - Strong knowledge of IE rules and other related statutes. - Experience in preparing power & control cable schedules, tray sizing, and earthing schedules.
