Electrical Designer- Substation Protection & Control

As an Electrical Designer at Stantec, you will play a crucial role in the ongoing growth of Stantec Resource Net India Private Ltd. Your primary responsibility will be to provide technical expertise in the Electrical discipline as part of a multi-disciplinary team that delivers the protection and control design package of the HV substation. You will bring your experience in substation design ranging from 25kV to 500kV levels, along with a deep understanding of substation components, development of substation layout, and related electrical drawings using one line and substation studies. Your key accountabilities will include reviewing client input to understand the scope of work, preparing P&C Single Line Diagrams, AC and DC schematics, Control Building/GIS Building Layouts, Control panel layout and wiring diagram, Station service AC/DC distribution diagram, lighting layouts, grounding/earthing layouts, lightning protection layouts, and more. You will collaborate with other discipline designers and engineers, coordinate with the BIM/CAD Lead, and provide valuable input into projects with minimal supervision. To excel in this role, you should hold a Diploma in Electrical Engineering & Design and possess 4-7 years of utility HV substation design experience. Your proficiency in 2D and 3D modeling and design using Electrical Software applications such as Autodesk Revit, Autodesk AutoCAD, Bentley MicroStation, and Autodesk Navisworks will be crucial. Additionally, knowledge and project experience of working in a BIM environment and delivering using Revit 3D & 2D Models and MicroStation V8i 2D & 3D Environment will be beneficial. You should be a good team player with excellent oral and written communication skills, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to work independently.
