Electrical Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Prepare

  GA (General Arrangement), SLD (Single Line Diagram), Wiring, and Schematics

  for control & relay panels.
• Study client specifications, tender documents, and protection schemes to design appropriate panel solutions.
• Select and specify components such as relays, CTs, VTs, terminal blocks, switches, and other panel accessories.
• Ensure all designs comply with

  IEC/IS standards

  and project technical requirements.
• Prepare

  Bill of Materials (BOM)

  and coordinate with the procurement team for material planning.
• Interact with customers/consultants for design approvals and technical clarifications.
• Support the production team during panel assembly and wiring, ensuring design adherence.
• Assist in preparing as-built drawings and documentation for project handover.
• Coordinate with testing and commissioning teams for design-related support.
• Update and maintain drawing records and version control.

Preferred candidate profile

• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in

  CAD (2D/3D)

  and electrical design software.
• Good knowledge of

  protection relays (ABB, Siemens, Schneider, SEL, etc.)

  .
• Understanding of

  substation automation, protection schemes, and wiring practices

  .

• Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
