Electrical Design Engineer

As an Electrical Design Engineer with a minimum of 4 years of experience, your role overview will involve designing, implementing, maintaining, and improving electrical systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic projects. You should be proficient in Revit and AutoCAD, with a background in working with Building Services. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare detailed technical construction drawings, calculations, and specifications to ensure installations meet standards, codes, and customer requirements. - Utilize computer-assisted engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Dialux for designing purposes. - Have a strong understanding of Codes including NYC Building Code, International Codes, Electrical Code, Energy Code, NFPA Standards, ASHRAE Standards, among others. - Review design concepts, calculations, and drawings for accuracy, compliance, and alignment with customer requirements. - Review engineering submittals, shop drawings, and construction administration procedures to ensure timely project completion. - Develop training modules, calculation procedures, and tools to enhance the performance of junior engineers and ensure adherence to standards. - Collaborate with clients, project managers, and vendors to ensure project delivery according to schedule and specifications. - Be involved in cost estimation, Bill of Materials development, and basic MEP coordination. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 4 years of experience as an Electrical Design Engineer. - Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD. - Strong understanding of various Codes and Standards related to electrical engineering. - Effective communication skills for collaboration with clients, project managers, and vendors. - Experience with international projects and team handling skills are desirable.
