Role Summary: We are seeking dynamic, committed, and passionate individuals to support the field implementation of Project Umang. The selected Project Assistants / Academic Field Support Persons will play a crucial role in driving academic initiatives and facilitating community and school engagement activities. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate with school principals, teachers, community members, and partner organisations Conduct support classes and maintain classroom progress reports Assist in library and laboratory activities Act as a liaison between schools, the program team, and CSR representatives Collect, compile, and maintain school-level data and records, school profiles and progress documentation Participate in regular workshops, training sessions, and review meetings Conduct student assessments and document outcomes in the form of success stories, field narratives, and case studies etc. Support in planning and organising special initiatives like Summer Camps, Winter Camps, Diwali Break Classes, etc. Ensure effective implementation of project activities in assigned schools Provide regular updates to the Program Coordinator Essential Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor s degree in a relevant subject (Science, English, or Mathematics); B.Ed. or Master s degree preferred Keen interest in working with children, educators, and communities Proficiency in MS Office and basic Hindi-English typing Organisational skills with prior experience in managing school events (e.g., Book Festival, Bal-mela , etc.) Willingness to travel to communities and remote areas

Through its work, the project invites educators, community members, and institutions to reimagine education through a gender-inclusive lens. Key areas of engagement include: Rejuvenation of Anganwadis: Setting up eight interactive and child-friendly learning corners in Anganwadi centres. Revitalisation of Mata Samitis: Strengthening local community structures to promote childrens education and we'll-being. Strengthening Primary Education: Regular collaboration with teachers to promote gender-responsive teaching practices. Shiksha Protsahan Kendra: Creating inclusive and safe community-based learning spaces for children. This role requires a deep understanding of gender and its intersections with the broader social context, especially in the field of education. Key Responsibilities Lead on-the-ground implementation of EGRIE activities across assigned project blocks. Facilitate teacher training, community meetings, and workshops with a strong gender-sensitive and inclusive approach. Mentor and provide academic support to Anganwadi workers, school teachers, and community facilitators at Shiksha Protsahan Kendras. Collaborate with government functionaries, local leaders, and Mata Samitis to strengthen community participation and ownership. Document field processes, including success stories, case studies, and implementation reports. Support monitoring and evaluation efforts by collecting and analysing relevant data from project sites. Plan and conduct capacity-building sessions for the field team and other stakeholders. Who Can Apply Postgraduate degree in Education, Gender Studies, Sociology, Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), or related fields. Minimum 2 years of experience in education, gender equity, or development sector projects. Strong understanding of gender, social inclusion, ECCE, and alternative/innovative education approaches. Demonstrated ability to create and maintain safe and inclusive spaces for both children and adults. Experience working directly with marginalised communities is highly desirable. Language Skills Required Proficiency in Hindi and English (both reading and writing) is essential . Comfort in facilitating sessions, writing reports, and engaging with stakeholders in both languages is expected.
