Carrying out HV/ EHV substation design and drawings for both AIS and GIS substations. Preparation of equipment specifications, layout drawings, and calculations including short circuit force, earthing, direct lightning stroke protection, conductor sizing, CT / CVT sizing, battery sizing, etc. Sizing for the equipment designs and systems. BOQ preparation. Knowledge of standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI). Experience in substation designs ranging from 66kV to 765kV. EHV substation designs, switchyard layouts, and switchyard equipment designs experience are essential. Proficiency in AutoCAD software is required. Familiarity with software like ETAP, CDEGs, etc., will be advantageous. Ability to work independently on assigned tasks. Capable of preparing/guiding the design team in creating SLD, general arrangement drawings, electrical layout, sections, EKD, DSLP, earthing layout, cable trench layout, switchyard illumination, cable schedule, bill of materials (BOMs), etc. Proficient in various busbar schemes. Skilled in reviewing equipment vendors" drawings/documents and guiding the design team in this process. Strong background in design calculations for earthing design, sag tension, DSLP, short circuit forces, battery sizing calculations, equipment sizing, etc. Effective monitoring of work progress (projects and tenders) of the design team. Ensuring timely delivery of project/tender deliverables without delays. Ability to manage/oversee the draftspersons effectively.,
