Role & responsibilities Experienced on life cycle assessment process, methods, and applications, with hands-on on any of the following tools: SimaPro (preferable) / EIME / Gabi / Umberto • Ability to conduct life cycle assessments for products from one or more sectors. • Awareness on various system boundaries and usage as per context, from raw materials to end of life. • Ability to analyze as well as interpret data on the environmental impact to identify improvements to lower the impact and facilitate decision making. • Provide subject matter knowhow within the team to meet the project objectives. • Awareness of environmental regulations for the global market in general and a particular sector, e.g. Automotive / Railway • Knowledgeable on REACH, ROHS, End of Life, WFD, GHG emissions • Knowhow on maintaining databases, data collection formats, communication formats, etc. • Awareness on the process of achieving Environmental Product Declaration is good to have. • Familiarity to work with various agencies, standards bodies, eco-label certification schemes and trade associations to develop strategies to promote the products. • Monitor progress and achievements on projects. Provide regular reports on development and support activities. • Provides expert resolution of issues and monitors integration of work. • Proven track record of building technical capability and roadmaps, mentoring junior team members on technical and solution aspects. • Experience in leading projects with multiple stakeholders in a matrix organization and strong project management experience is required. Qualifications and Competencies: • Minimum 4 to 7+ years of relevant experience on LCA, eco-design and energy efficiency. • Master's / bachelor's degree in mechanical, Chemical or Electrical engineering. • ACLCA certified professional or ISO 14044:2006 is good to have. • Focus on one of: environment, energy efficiency or eco-design is good to have. • Advanced MS Excel, VBA or fair knowledge of programming skills. • Excellent communications skills. A high degree of aptitude, creativity and adaptability is required.
