EHS Supervisor
Location: KandlaIndustry: Edible Oil and Vanaspati RefineryExperience: 3 to 6 years in EHS, preferably from edible oil, refinery, food processing or chemical sectorQualification: Diploma or Degree in Safety, Fire and Safety, Industrial Safety, NEBOSH or equivalent

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor EHS policies across refinery, tank farm, hydrogenation, deodorization, packaging and utility areas
• Ensure compliance with statutory norms under FSSAI, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and local safety regulations
• Conduct daily safety inspections, walkthroughs and housekeeping checks
• Monitor PPE usage and enforce safety guidelines among employees and contractors
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety training and awareness sessions for shift teams
• Maintain records of near miss, incident, accident and corrective action reports
• Inspect tank farm handling, oil transfers, steam and boiler safety practices
• Verify chemical storage, palm oil additives and bleaching earth handling as per safety norms
• Support HAZOP, risk assessment, safety audit and internal safety reviews
• Ensure fire safety equipment, hydrants, extinguishers and alarms are functional
• Coordinate emergency response drills, evacuation and first-aid procedures
• Maintain MSDS for chemicals, lubricants, solvents and cleaning agents used in refinery
• Monitor effluent parameters, waste disposal, ETP compliance and environmental documentation

Skills Required

• Knowledge of edible oil plant safety requirements and food safety interaction
• Strong understanding of fire prevention, boiler safety and confined space entry
• Familiarity with tank farm safety, nitrogen blanketing and steam line handling
• Ability to conduct safety induction and contractor training
• Strong reporting, documentation and compliance ability
