Job Title: Senior Manager QHSE (T&D/Solar Projects) Location: Hyderabad, Telangana Experience: 15-20 Years Department: Corporate QHSE Reporting To: Vice President Projects / Head QHSE/Head Operations Employment Type: Full-Time Position Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager -QHSE to lead the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental functions across our solar energy portfolio. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all utility-scale solar projects are executed with uncompromising standards of safety, quality, and environmental stewardship. The ideal candidate will bring strategic vision, operational excellence, and deep domain expertise in solar EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) environments. Key Responsibilities Quality Assurance & Control Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001 standards and solar industry best practices Define quality benchmarks for engineering, procurement, and construction phases of solar projects Conduct internal audits , third-party inspections , and vendor quality assessments to ensure compliance with technical specifications and contractual obligations Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for quality deviations Collaborate with design and procurement teams to ensure materials and workmanship meet project standards Health & Safety Management Establish and enforce a comprehensive Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) framework in line with ISO 45001, NEBOSH, and OSHA guidelines Conduct risk assessments , job safety analyses (JSA) , and hazard identification across all project sites Drive a proactive safety culture through training programs , toolbox talks , and behavior-based safety initiatives Investigate incidents and near-misses, prepare detailed reports, and implement mitigation strategies Ensure compliance with national and state labor safety regulations and statutory requirements Environmental Sustainability Ensure adherence to environmental regulations , including pollution control, waste management, and biodiversity protection Oversee Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and ensure implementation of mitigation measures Monitor and report on carbon footprint , resource consumption , and sustainability KPIs Liaise with government bodies and regulatory agencies for environmental clearances and audits Strategic Leadership & Governance Lead and mentor a team of QHSE professionals across multiple solar project sites Develop and execute long-term QHSE strategies aligned with corporate goals and ESG commitments Present QHSE performance dashboards, risk registers, and compliance reports to senior leadership and board committees Champion digital transformation in QHSE through the adoption of EHS software , mobile inspection tools , and data analytics Represent the organization in industry forums, regulatory consultations, and certification bodies Qualifications & Competencies Bachelor's in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil); Master's in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or QHSE preferred Certifications ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor; NEBOSH IGC; OSHA; Six Sigma (preferred) Experience 1520 years in QHSE roles, with a minimum of 8 years in solar or renewable energy projects Technical Skills Solar EPC lifecycle, risk management, incident investigation, QMS/EHS software tools Leadership Skills Strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, team development, and cross-functional collaboration Languages English (mandatory); Telugu/Hindi (preferred) Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Zero Lost Time Injuries (LTIs) across all sites 95% compliance in internal and external audits Timely closure of NCRs and CAPAs Reduction in environmental incidents and resource wastage Employee safety training coverage >90% Vendor quality rating improvement year-on-year Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary with annual performance bonus Health, accident, and life insurance coverage Travel and site allowances Professional development and certification sponsorship Opportunity to lead sustainability initiatives in Indias clean energy transition How to Apply: Please share your updated resumes with ko1@amararaja.com
