Job Description

As a Safety Officer, your role involves ensuring a safe working environment by implementing and maintaining the site safety plan. Your key responsibilities include: - Attending tool box talks, field safety briefings, and assembly points to enforce the site safety plan. - Conducting safety inspections to identify and eliminate hazards in the work environment. - Verifying the availability and safe conditions of tools and equipment. - Promoting safe practices at the site through dialogues, orientation programs, visual aids, and auditing findings. - Maintaining all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) records of accidents, near misses, and dangerous occurrences, and providing analytical information to project safety leads. - Investigating all accidents, near misses, and unsafe acts. - Overseeing the installation, maintenance, and disposal of substances to ensure compliance with safety standards. - Ensuring that safety protocols are being followed by employees and subcontractors. In order to qualify for this position, you should have: - B.E/B.Tech. degree or Diploma/Degree in Engineering, along with Health and Safety specific education. - Comprehensive knowledge of the industry and hands-on experience in managing the complex nature of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects. This role requires a proactive approach to safety management and a commitment to creating a hazard-free work environment.
