We're looking for EHS Manager. Location: Chandivali, Mumbai Candidates must have minimum 3-5 years of experience in Data Center Summary The Senior EHS Design, In Life and Fit Out Manager is an individual contributor role and has the primary responsibility to consult on and implement Environment, Health, and Safety policies, ensuring health and safety conditions in the work environment to prevent harm, injury and illness. This role is accountable for instituting control and remedial measures for hazardous and potentially hazardous conditions or equipment, including those that harm the external environment. This role ensures the development and consistent implementation of safety, health and environmental programs and manages the risk related to the environment and related incident management. KEY responsibilities Provide advanced and functional responsibility of In-Life and fit-out project safety performance in line with NTT GDC requirements and advise design team accordingly. Monitor risks to the business posed by In-Life and fit-out projects, including design and develop a mitigating plan and work with the Directors of Technical Operations and Design to implement measures. Ensure compliance with relevant Health & Safety legislation across all geographical locations through effective and sustainable integrated safety management and act as EHS subject matter expert (SME) in relation to safety in design. Work closely with other health and safety counterparts and designers to develop, maintain and improve NTT GDC standards and ensure compliance with the company Health & Safety programs. Drive consistency, sustainability, and effectiveness in the management of health and safety protocols and processes, and lead continuous improvement through performance monitoring, design / site audits and external evaluations through the business supply chain. Feed information and learnings from GID and Operations regarding design issues into the design team to influence changes. Supporting and monitoring the program of audits to measure and report on compliance with health and safety standards across the region and apply NTT GDC reporting formats for comparable transparency. Oversee arrangements between In-Life and fit-out projects and Operational owners to ensure that health and safety is correctly transitioned from a project phase to a live operational facility. Provide functional leadership and support to project responsible owners and design teams. Work closely with Legal and Governance to ensure that the safety provisions are fully aligned with the companys overarching business risk and compliance activities. Support the creation and delivery of internal training programs and subject specific initiatives that complement regional statutory training. Support Sales and Client Management with client requests and attend meetings where necessary Play an integral role in the Design and In-Life team and provide support and statistics to colleagues to help identify trends and implement improvement plans or design improvements. Maintain a knowledge of industry and regulatory rules, requirements and developments to ensure ongoing compliance and best practice. Develop a positive team culture through achievement of results, teamwork, development, accountability, competency and professionalism. Promote a culture of compliance, scalability and consistency within Design and In-Life projects. KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES Proven track record of managing Health & Safety functions across multiple countries. Demonstrable ability to implement new frameworks, policies and procedures. Experience in the implementation or extension of integrated management systems and industry standards. Proven track record of managing and leading diverse multi-country teams. Fluent in English, both written and orally. Demonstrable skills in management and collaboration. Exceptional attention to detail with a passion for quality and accuracy. Process driven. Outstanding relationship-builder and communicator, both internally and externally. Ability to adapt and guide teams through dynamically changing environments. Self-motivated and an ability to use ones own initiative. A passion for listening to stakeholders and customers and a world-class service mentality. Willing and able to travel within the region of the role. Client focused. Ability to troubleshoot a situation and provide workable solutions. Mentor, support, assist and develop the construction safety and project teams to achieve the required goals. ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS A recognised international safety qualification (diploma level or equivalent). Bachelors degree or equivalent experience, preferred Capital project experience, preferred OSHA training and certifications a plus CSHO, SHEP or CSP preferred REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Minimum of 10 years experience inclusive of on-site hands-on experience in Health and Safety ideally within project environments and ideally within the data center sector. Experience and accredited in International Auditing of ISO 45001, and ideally other industry standards PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, and balance Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl using both arms and legs Ability to reach, grasp, push, pull, handle, feel, and type with both hands and arms Ability to smell, talk and hear Ability to see at close and distance ranges and the ability to see and correctly distinguish color Ability to lift equipment in small spaces without mechanical assistance, weighing up to 50 pounds Ability to work inside and outside Work conditions & other requirements Travel is required 50% of the time. Perform work from in a Hybrid mode. (From Office & remote location with stable internet connection.)
