Youll make an impact by: Provide management and employees with competent EHS advice and action plans. Provide guidance and support to management on the promotion and implementation of the EHS strategies, procedures, guidelines, and goals for continuous improvements, at all sites assigned in the region. Ensure that environment and health impacts and significant risks are identified, reviewed, and communicated and provide active support in mitigating such risks/impacts & regular visits to sites to provide practical safe solutions for high-risk activities. Ensure that appropriate measuring and monitoring of EHS issues is undertaken and reported accurately and transparently. Provide advice and support to BU management on EHS compliance. Provide assistance in the completion of risk assessments & JSA where required and ensure that they are regularly reviewed, and mitigation measures are undertaken. Ensure all accidents and near misses are recorded, reported, and investigated in accordance with the company accident and reporting procedures, and all corrective/preventive actions are identified, implemented, and reviewed. Ensure relevant EHS records (e.g. policy documentation, risk assessments, safety data sheets, registers, fire drills and training records etc.) are maintained and updated as and when necessary. Ensure provision is made for all employees, including temporary staff and contractors, to receive effective and sufficient training and instruction by way of the companys EHS competency development program. Act on employee complaints relating to Health, Safety or Welfare, communication through the relevant company channels and bring to the attention of the concerned authorities as required. Ensure updated information of legal requirements, hazards in the workplace company EHS policy and procedures. Ensure adequate supplies of effective PPE, as specified by risk assessments, are readily available for those employees visiting clientspremises. Youll win us over by: Diploma/Advance diploma in industrial safety from State-board. NEBOSH IGC will be an added advantage. Degree/Diploma in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or relevant branch of Engineering. Minimum 3 yrs of experience in driving Implementation of EHS System in the field of Indian Railway Projects and EPC Projects. Experience of handling multiple sites/ teams of EHS resources as an EHS coordinator. Detailed knowledge of all requirements pertaining to EHS. Have good communication skills and proficiency in reporting. This role is based in Bangalore. But youll also get to visit other locations in India and globe, so youll need to go where this journey takes you. Basic qualifications: Degree/Diploma in Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Power System branch of Engineering Work experience in the field of Electrical Service & Maintenance, Large Electrical EPC projects, MV/ HV Testing, commissioning for at least for 10 years. Purpose of the job: Ensure/provide a safe and healthy environment to our people and to our contractors. Protect Alstom assets and reduce risks of business interruption resulting from fire and natural catastrophe Key accountabilities: Support Site EHS manager for EHS topics Cooperate with the internal resources to achieve EHS objectives. Support the Site EHS Manager to perform EHS Risk Assessment and to define appropriate measures to control risks. Support the EHS Site Manager to prepare, implement and maintain emergency plans. Assist Site EHS Manager to coordinate and control activities with respect of EHS, especially where interfaces are involved with other contractors or operation areas. Support the Site EHS Manager to ensure that Alstom EHS standards and tools (AZDP, TOP_E, Transport Key processes) are deployed at Site level. EHS Compliance Assist the Site EHS Manager to ensure compliance of the site activities according to the EHS Plan, guidelines and work instructions. Perform EHS legal compliance checks for specific requirements. Develop EHS culture in the site Inform, instruct and train employees to carry out the work in safe & environment-friendly mode according to the method of statement. Participate in the implementation of the site EHS training programs by providing EHS inductions and ensuring Tool Box meetings are organized. Report, Measure & Review Support the EHS Site Manager to capture, report, record, investigate and analyze accidents/incidents in order to implement corrective and preventive actions. Support the preparation of monthly EHS reports. Can be in charge of feeding EHS Teranga reporting system in line with Group reporting requirements and under control by Site EHS manager. Carry out inspections of work areas and carry out EHS audits and report any discrepancy.
