Job Summary We are looking for a dedicated Network Engineer to manage and support the hospital’s IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity for patient monitoring systems, hospital information systems (HIS), PACS, EHR/EMR platforms, biometric systems, and secure internet access. The role is critical to maintaining uninterrupted hospital operations, data integrity, and HIPAA or NABH compliance. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, access points, and firewalls across all hospital departments (ICUs, OTs, OPDs, etc.) Ensure reliable and secure connectivity for: Hospital Information System (HIS) Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Radiology & PACS systems IP cameras, biometric access controls, nurse call systems Manage VLANs, Wi-Fi networks, VPN access, and bandwidth allocation for clinical vs. guest networks Monitor network performance using tools and generate regular uptime/usage reports Troubleshoot LAN/WAN issues promptly to avoid disruption in clinical or administrative services Implement and manage cybersecurity measures including firewall rules, endpoint protection, and secure backups Work closely with biomedical and IT teams to ensure network support for medical devices and telemedicine platforms Maintain documentation of hospital network topology, assets, IP address schemes, and access control Ensure compliance with health data security standards (HIPAA, NABH, ISO, etc.) Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field Minimum 2–5 years of network engineering experience, preferably in a healthcare or critical infrastructure environment. Strong knowledge of network protocols, VLANs, subnetting, firewalls, and Wi-Fi networks.
