Role Overview: As a Senior Engineer Expert in Transformer Design at Emerson, your primary responsibility will be to design and develop new products related to Dry type Transformers. You will also be tasked with designing and documenting customer Special Orders, ensuring product compliance with International Standards and Regulatory requirements such as UL, CSA, IEC, and NEC. Additionally, you will be involved in Transformer, Power supply, and UPS testing, as well as coordinating and attending Reviews and Meetings with Internal and Business Unit Customers. Conducting activities like DFMEA, DFM, FMEA will also be part of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop new products related to Dry type Transformers - Design and document customer Special Orders - Ensure product compliance with International Standards and Regulatory requirements (UL, CSA, IEC, NEC) - Conduct Transformer, Power supply, and UPS testing - Coordinate and attend Reviews and Meetings with Internal and Business Unit Customers - Conduct DFMEA, DFM, FMEA, etc. Qualifications Required: - Expertise in Transformer Engineering - Proficiency in AutoCAD, Optimized Design Services (OPS) software or similar software, MS Excel, MS Power Point - Experience in Transformer Design, preferably in Low Voltage Dry Type Distribution Transformers, Ventilated Transformer, Encapsulated Transformer, Industrial control Transformer - Experience in Transformer Design parameters such as Efficiency, Impedance, Thermal calculation, Core & Coil Losses, etc. - Exposure to international standards (UL, CSA, IEC/ATEX, NEC) - Knowledge of Transformer testing including Efficiency testing, Temperature rise, No load Losses, Load Losses, etc. - Good understanding of Transformer Manufacturing and Materials like Coil Winding, Electrical Steel Lamination, Core assembly, Encapsulation, etc. Additional Company Details: Emerson prioritizes a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
