Efficiency Engineer - SDE 2

Role Overview: As a DevOps Engineer in our team, you will play a crucial role in building and evolving the tooling, platforms, and best practices that enable our product teams to deliver software quickly and confidently. This position requires a hands-on approach that combines infrastructure engineering and DevOps principles, with a strong emphasis on enhancing developer experience and productivity. Key Responsibilities: - Own and manage our Internal Developer Platform (IDP), including designing, building, and maintaining self-service workflows, templates, and paved roads for application teams. - Develop, review, and standardize Terraform modules and stacks for Infrastructure as Code across different environments (production/non-production). - Enhance CI/CD pipelines at scale by optimizing build, test, deploy, and release processes, enforcing quality gates, and reducing lead time to production. - Implement observability and reliability practices by instrumenting golden signals, standardizing logging, metrics, and tracing, and automating Service Level Objective (SLO) enforcement. - Automate the management of ephemeral environments and create repeatable development and testing setups. - Focus on improving performance and productivity by eliminating manual toil, benchmarking, and enhancing developer feedback loops. Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in Terraform, including authoring reusable modules, managing workspaces, versioning, state management, and disaster recovery patterns. - Experience with AWS cloud services such as networking, compute, storage, and Identity and Access Management (IAM). - Familiarity with Docker fundamentals and container orchestration concepts. - Knowledge of CI/CD tooling, with proficiency in any platform. - Strong scripting and automation skills using languages like Python, Go, or Bash, along with a solid understanding of Git workflows. - Exposure to observability tools such as Prometheus/Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK/EFK stack, or equivalent solutions. - Good collaboration skills, including clear technical writing, the ability to influence decisions without direct authority, and empathy towards understanding and addressing developer needs.,
