Efficiency Engineer

Role Overview: You will be responsible for building and evolving the tooling, platforms, and golden paths that enable our product teams to deliver quickly and confidently. This role involves a hands-on approach that combines infrastructure engineering and DevOps, with a strong emphasis on enhancing developer experience and productivity. Key Responsibilities: - Own the Internal Developer Platform (IDP): Design, build, and maintain self-service workflows, templates, and paved roads for application teams. - Infrastructure as Code: Develop, review, and standardize Terraform modules and stacks across different environments (production/non-production). - CI/CD at scale: Enhance pipelines for build, test, deployment, and release processes, enforce quality gates, and reduce lead time to production. - Observability & reliability: Implement golden signals, standardize logging/metrics/tracing, and automate Service Level Objective (SLO) enforcement. - Environment management: Automate ephemeral environments and create repeatable development/testing setups. - Performance & productivity: Eliminate manual tasks, benchmark processes, and enhance developer feedback loops. Qualifications Required: - Strong proficiency in Terraform: Experience in authoring reusable modules, managing workspaces, versioning, state management, and Disaster Recovery (DR) patterns. - Cloud expertise: Familiarity with AWS services related to networking, compute, storage, and Identity and Access Management (IAM). - Knowledge of containers & orchestration: Fundamental understanding of Docker. - Proficiency in CI/CD tooling: Any platform is acceptable. - Scripting & automation skills: Experience with Python, Go, or Bash; strong understanding of Git workflows. - Observability knowledge: Familiarity with tools such as Prometheus/Grafana, Open Telemetry, ELK/EFK, or equivalent. - Collaboration skills: Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly, influence decisions effectively, and demonstrate empathy towards developer requirements.,
