You will be responsible for ensuring that the company's HR policies, procedures, and practices align with federal and state laws and regulations. This includes working closely with internal HR teams and external auditors to guarantee HR processes comply with legal requirements. You will conduct regular reviews of HR policies to ensure compliance and stay updated on federal and state labor laws, such as EEOC, VETS, AAP, and SOC/SOX. Additionally, you will collaborate with HR teams to implement corrective actions for any compliance gaps and monitor compliance metrics, including audit findings. To be successful in this role, you must have at least 5 years of experience in HR compliance and audit or a related field. A deep understanding of federal and state labor laws and regulations is essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required, as well as proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite. Role & responsibilities Preferred candidate profile Onboarding paperwork through CEIPAL and ensuring collection of all paperwork before the start date of the consultant/ contractor. Background check report and drug test on the consultant as per the client specific need. Communicating with background check companies based on the results, pending verifications etc. Talking to new hires and making sure to walk them through the process of on-boarding. Maintaining the HR report tracker and number of hires on a day-to-day basis. Maintain US benefit enrollments, enrollment forms, Medical, dental and vision, short term disability, Life coverages etc. Maintaining the weekly and monthly new hire report. Maintaining the weekly and monthly termination report. Preparing employment verification letter, vendor letter and consulate letter for the existing employees. Executing contracts, MSA, SOW and NDA to vendor partners. Perform E-Verify on every W2 candidate. Communicate with sub-vendors and work on negotiation of the contracts. Helping the payroll department in following the consultant for the missing timesheets. Attending HR calls, handling daily queries related to payroll, contract, timesheets, expense, benefits etc.
