As a candidate for the position of Tech 05 in the Support Staff and Tech Department located in Mumbai, you should possess 3-7 years of experience in a relevant field. A qualification of B. Sc or BPMT (Neurophysiology) is required for this role. Your responsibilities will include operating electromyography equipment to test the electrical activity of muscle diseases or denervation. This will involve determining the conduction velocity and latency times of peripheral motor and sensory nerves, as well as assisting physicians in performing advanced electromyography techniques for specific neurological diseases. You will be expected to confer with patients to obtain medical history information, explain procedures, allay fears, and elicit cooperation. Analyzing patient history to determine the proper procedures for the test modality to be used will also be part of your duties. Additionally, you will assist in scheduling patients for EMG testing and perform SSEP monitoring in the operating theater. Your role will involve preparing patients for electromyography procedures by applying electrodes to the proper positions on the body and adjusting them as required. You will also be responsible for performing routine and complex EEG procedures to obtain data for the diagnosis of clinical disorders of the nervous system. Tracings obtained will need to be reported by a Neurologist. Furthermore, you will assist with scheduling patients for EEG, assist in EEG monitoring in the operating theater, and conduct EEGs in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Intensive Coronary Care Unit (ICCU), and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
