In this role, you will have the opportunity to amplify our mission and values through engaging communication, building robust media relationships, and crafting compelling stories for external media outlets and our social media channels. This is a hands-on position that requires inquisitiveness, confidence, and clarity in articulation. You will play a crucial role in shaping the public perception, understanding, and engagement with 8one among diverse stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - **Media Engagement:** Cultivate and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and publications. Develop press releases, pitch stories, and address media inquiries effectively. - **Strategic Communication:** Contribute to the formulation of communication strategies for public campaigns, projects, and organizational branding initiatives. - **Reputation Management:** Monitor public sentiment, track media coverage, and offer insights to enhance our image and broaden our outreach. - **Events and Outreach:** Manage our social media platforms, establish a sustainable digital presence, and oversee event planning and coordination for workshops and sessions hosted by 8one. Requirements: - **Educational Background:** A degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field. - **Experience:** Ideally, 1-3 years of experience in a communications or PR role.
