EDP Cloud Data Engineering VP

As a member of the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) team at Macquarie, you will be responsible for managing Macquarie's Corporate Data Platform, supporting various business use cases such as data science, self-service analytics, operational analytics, and reporting. Your role will involve driving the delivery of critical platform capabilities using AWS and Kubernetes, fostering collaboration, ensuring platform stability, defining technical roadmaps, leading architectural decisions, and designing, developing, and deploying new capabilities for Macquarie's Corporate Data Hub Platform. Additionally, you will enhance automation, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring practices while championing security, compliance, and risk management across the platform. Key Responsibilities: - Drive the delivery of critical platform capabilities using AWS and Kubernetes - Foster collaboration and ensure platform stability - Define technical roadmaps and lead architectural decisions - Design, develop, and deploy new capabilities for the Corporate Data Hub Platform - Enhance automation, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring practices - Champion security, compliance, and risk management across the platform Qualifications Required: - 7+ years of enterprise experience as a Cloud/DevOps/Data Engineer, including leadership roles - Expertise in AWS cloud platforms, Kubernetes, and Big Data processing technologies (e.g., Hive, Spark, Starburst Presto) - Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) and experience in Agile/DevOps environments - Deep architectural and design pattern experience with a proven ability to build consensus and drive technical decisions - A proactive approach to production stability, cost management, and platform improvements As part of Macquarie, you will be part of a global financial services group operating in 31 markets with a history of unbroken profitability for 56 years.
